Levain Bakery in New York City is known for making the best chocolate chip walnut cookies. The cookies are served warm and fresh out of the oven. The 6 oz treats melt in your mouth, and cause lots of happy sighs and eye-rolling. I decided I was over waiting in line to get my hands on a cookie so I searched for a good copy-cat recipe, made some tweaks, and came up with a cookie that I personally like even better!

A couple of weekends ago we both felt like leaving town and wound up at our fave spot--Jones Farm. I seriously cannot sing enough praises about this place! If you ever get the chance to visit New York and find yourself wanting to do a day-trip, go here! I love their pies, cookies*, turkey sandwiches, syrups, breads, mac & cheese, even their Irish soda bread. Everything is plain good. And the people who run it are so incredibly nice! It is my happy place.
