Do you ever find a new place that you want to go to all the time? For me that place is Jones Farm, just 45 min north of Manhattan along the Hudson. It's this cute, quaint family-run farm with the most delicious homemade goods, a lunch menu that always hits the spot, beautiful grounds, cute animals, and a fun gift shop you can find just about anything in. My husband, Ryan, and I always come home with a cherry pie!

I love living in New York City, but it does my mind and soul wonders to get out, go for a scenic drive, listen to the radio, and leave the crowds behind. We do not own a car in the city (there's literally no point) but when we feel the itch to leave for a day, we rent a car from LaGuardia Airport (it's much cheaper than any rental place in Manhattan) and GO!

A couple of weekends ago we both felt like leaving town and wound up at our fave spot--Jones Farm. I seriously cannot sing enough praises about this place! If you ever get the chance to visit New York and find yourself wanting to do a day-trip, go here! I love their pies, cookies*, turkey sandwiches, syrups, breads, mac & cheese, even their Irish soda bread. Everything is plain G-O-O-D. And the people who run it are so incredibly nice! It is my happy place.

*They make this amazing Almond Champagne Cookie...would you want me to try making it?

Whenever we go for a short day-trip I always like to dress as comfortable as possible. I just hate feeling restricted in my clothing if I know I'm going to be sitting in a car for an extended amount of time. I recently bought some leggings from Ann Taylor and Loft and they are my absolute favorite! So. Comfy. They're super sturdy, but not stiff, they're not see through AT ALL (hallelujah), they go on sale pretty frequently, they wash well, and they look amazing! If you're between sizes, I'd recommend sizing down. I usually wear a large in most bottoms but for these I got a medium and the fit is fantastic.
