This was way more fun to put together than I thought it would be! I’m actually super inspired to do a little more Christmas shopping for my man, even though most of his gifts are already on their way!
Are you a procrastinator when it comes to buying gifts? I’m a planner through and through! It helps that I love to shop in whatever capacity it may be, and I especially love to give gifts, wrap them, and see them under the Christmas tree!
If the men in your life are anything like mine, they usually enjoy a few of the same things; 1) comfy fashion; 2) sports; 3) Star Wars; 4) playing games of any kind.
While I’m not the biggest Star Wars fan out there, or even the biggest fan of watching sports, I like to get my husband something that reminds him of his favorite movie and his favorite teams. But, I like to do this in a…subtle way. Hence cuff links, tie clips, socks, etc. It’s a nice way to give a little nod to his favorite things in a more grown-up fashion!
Since getting married, my husband’s wardrobe has slowly evolved. Bye-bye cargo shorts, hello Lululemon ABC’s! Adios high-school hoodie, hey date-night appropriate sweatshirt! See ya stinky old sneakers, don’t mind if I do trendy trainers!
Hopefully this guide inspires you to get the guys in your life some updated classics, and maybe some fresh finds that they are sure to love because they’ll echo their familiar old favorites.
1. These grey suede Cole Hann shoes are suuuuuper comfortable! I see a lot of guys wearing them here in NYC. They’re on the pricier side, but they’re sure to get a lot of use since they can be worn for casual or more formal occasions.
2. Some NBA socks are a great way for him to rep his favorite team…subtly.
3. My husband is a fan of this silver minimalist Tissot watch. He has a very similar one, and it’s perfect for literally any occasion.
4. Darth Vader Cuff-Links. No explanation needed.
5. No-shave November? This classy beard comb will help him maintain his beard and can actually help cut down on beard dandruff (yup, it’s a thing). This comb plus a nice beard oil will keep you both happy.
6. Every guy needs a signature scent. You can’t go wrong with a classic men’s Gucci fragrance.
7. This portable ping-pong set will help him practice his table tennis skillz.
8. This faux-suede bomber jacket is a chicer alternative to a zip-up hoodie. My husband fell in love with this exact one at Banana Republic.
9. A man’s gotta moisturize! This men’s Kiehl’s moisturizer is a way to encourage your man to take care of his skin and, chances are, he’ll really appreciate it this winter.
10. These brown buckle dress shoes can actually be dressed up or down depending on the occasion! My husband wore some very similar ones with jeans, a knit sweater and a peacoat, for our Christmas card photos and he looked great! He loves the buckle detail, and thinks they’re more fun than the rest of his lace-up shoes.
11. This army green beanie is more exciting than grey or black, but still neutral enough to go with his entire wardrobe!
